Role Overview

Millennium Computer Systems Limited (MCSL) builds higher-education reporting software such as Millennium FAST for colleges and universities. As a Technical Solutions Consultant, the professional will directly support these academic clients by troubleshooting complex issues, communicating technical resolutions, and delivering tailored development solutions. The position operates fully remotely within Canada, with a preference for Pacific Time working hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

Engage directly with higher-education clients to diagnose and resolve technical environment problems.
Write, modify, and implement Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code to address issues and integrate solutions into the internal development environment.
Provide custom development deliverables for clients as required.
Translate technical difficulties, solutions, and upcoming steps into clear language for client stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with the Technical Solutions lead to assume greater ownership of team client tasks over time.
Expand technical capabilities across the broader technology stack, including ASP.NET, Visual Studio, and JavaScript, as project demands dictate.

Requirements

Three to five years of direct, hands-on development background utilizing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, specifically focusing on code writing and modification rather than strictly support or triage.
Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities, with a proven ability to engage directly with external clients.
Availability to work structured hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Nice to Have

Practical background or familiarity with Ellucian Banner in either a technical or functional capacity.
Professional background within the higher-education sector or supporting college and university clients.
A broad technical history demonstrating the capability to learn and adopt new tools and programming languages rapidly.
