Doctronic seeks a full-time Technical Recruiter to lead hiring initiatives in New York City on a hybrid schedule. This position suits an experienced talent professional eager to build a recruitment function from the ground up at an AI healthcare company.

Role Overview

As Doctronic's first technical recruiting hire, the Technical Recruiter will own the entire hiring lifecycle without an inherited process. This role involves partnering closely with engineering leadership and the CEO to attract and secure top-tier engineering talent dedicated to transforming healthcare through artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle recruiting for Senior AI/ML Engineers, Backend Engineers, and other technical positions from initial sourcing to closing offers.
Design and execute proactive sourcing strategies to connect with passive candidates operating at the forefront of applied machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Collaborate with engineering leads to comprehend technical requirements, identify strong technical signals, and define exceptional performance standards.
Create and refine the recruitment process, candidate journey, and employer branding initiatives independently.
Establish pipelines for hard-to-find professionals, including agentic systems builders, clinical AI specialists, and LLM engineers.
Monitor recruitment metrics, oversee pipeline activities within an ATS, and update leadership on funnel health.

Requirements

Five or more years of technical recruiting experience, featuring a minimum of two years dedicated to applied ML or AI/ML roles.
Demonstrated history of successfully closing senior AI engineers amid competitive market conditions against alternative offers.
Capacity to engage in substantive technical discussions regarding model architectures, inference pipelines, LLM fine-tuning, and agentic systems.
Background in establishing recruitment frameworks at early-stage startups without existing playbooks or coordinators.
Advanced sourcing instincts capable of identifying and reaching passive engineering candidates.
Residency in New York to fulfill the hybrid onsite requirement of working three days a week in the office.

Nice to Have

Background in recruiting for regulated industries, clinical AI, or healthcare technology engineering groups.
Existing professional network within the artificial intelligence and machine learning engineering community in New York City.
Previous experience operating as the primary or secondary recruiter at a fast-growing startup.
Acquaintance with ML frameworks, Python, or FastAPI sufficient for intelligently reviewing GitHub profiles.
