Role Overview

The Solution Design Consultant position at Gainsight is a full-time, remote opportunity based in the USA within the Atlas Sales team, reporting directly to the EVP & GM. This autonomous, customer-facing role is ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys conducting comprehensive diagnostics, designing strategic solutions, and collaborating cross-functionally with account executives, data analysts, finance, and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the Atlas Renewals Diagnostic from end to end, which includes securing executive sponsorship, scoping tiers, conducting stakeholder interviews, and presenting the final executive readout in person.
Translate diagnostic findings into target service designs that clearly define which actions are autonomous, require approval, or remain human-driven.
Build robust multi-year business cases and partnership scenarios with fully footnoted assumptions, modeling capacity and cost against growth ramps.
Collaborate with Deal Desk and Finance to establish pricing inputs, margin structures, ramp curves, and responsibility matrices covering guardrails and escalation paths.
Maintain solution integrity during commercial negotiations, translating design intent and business cases into contractual terms.
Assemble comprehensive delivery handoff packages for the Delivery and Solutions Architect teams, including readiness scorecards and pricing models.
Re-validate operational designs against live performance metrics during the ramp phase and oversee the Partnership Value Assessment.

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven expertise in conducting qualitative and quantitative business problem analyses and presenting findings to senior leadership in subscription revenue operations, renewal, or customer success fields.
Advanced Excel proficiency for financial modeling, including multi-year business cases, scenario ranges, and margin analysis.
Demonstrated capability to design, price, and negotiate configured operating models and link them to commercial contracts.
Availability to travel occasionally (up to 25%), primarily concentrated during executive readouts and diagnostic interview weeks.
