Role Overview

The Director, Product Security position at Gainsight is a full-time, hybrid leadership role based out of Wrocław, Poland, with remote flexibility. This opportunity suits an experienced security professional who wants to shape the future of an AI-powered customer success platform by leading a global engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Mature the application security program by driving Secure by Design principles, threat modeling, and security architecture reviews across the software development lifecycle.
Increase test coverage by expanding the percentage of active repositories, microservices, and endpoints monitored by SAST, DAST, SCA, and container scanning tools.
Monitor security gates by tracking the ratio of builds automatically blocked from deployment due to high-severity policy violations.
Manage and lead a globally distributed team of product security engineers.
Drive organization-wide vulnerability management and product risk remediation initiatives.

Requirements

Bring 13 or more years of experience across Software Engineering, Security Engineering, Application Security, or Product Security.
Have at least 7 years of direct experience leading security organizations.
Demonstrate proven experience in building or scaling Product Security programs within modern SaaS or cloud-native environments.
Possess deep expertise in Secure SDLC, threat modeling, security architecture, application security, API security, and modern authentication frameworks.
Show a strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, Kubernetes, containers, and multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
Have the ability to communicate technical risk effectively to executive leadership and build cross-functional alignment.

Nice to Have

Experience securing AI and GenAI-powered products and platforms.
A hands-on software engineering background involving distributed systems.
Experience implementing security automation within modern CI/CD pipelines.
Background in leading globally distributed Product Security teams.
Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, or GIAC credentials.

Salary and Benefits

The starting base salary range for this role is PLN 39,000 to PLN 45,000 monthly, with exact compensation varying based on skills, experience, and location. Additional financial incentives include an annual bonus and participation in the company equity program.
