About this role

Fluidstack is focused on accelerating the deployment of frontier AI compute infrastructure, aiming to make humanity more free by aligning AI models with human desires. The company is building civilization-scale infrastructure by focusing on speed and scale, acquiring power, designing, and operating data centers. The engineering teams are tasked with rethinking every layer of the stack to achieve massive throughput.

This Software Engineer, AI Automation role contributes to automating complex, high-leverage processes within the company. The work involves transforming operational necessities into software, such as automating the delivery of gigawatts of compute and building systems to manage complex financial and legal workflows. The core mission is to reduce manual effort by embedding AI and software solutions into critical infrastructure operations.

This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives on autonomy and operates from first principles, challenging assumptions to drive rapid solutions. Individuals who enjoy building systems that directly impact large-scale infrastructure and are comfortable operating without extensive oversight will find this environment suitable. It is a role for builders who want to tackle significant, world-level problems.

What you will do

  • A key responsibility involves creating a system to track and manage the company's financial view, converting raw data into order schedules and cash demand curves.
  • The role requires building a pipeline for capital, automating the flow from approved budget to released capital, verified by build milestones.
  • The engineer will develop systems to parse complex legal documents, such as MSAs and change orders, to extract obligations and deadlines.
  • This role involves embedding with various teams, including finance, legal, and people, to turn their approvals and reconciliations into structured, generated work.

What you need

  • Candidates must have experience shipping production code in languages such as Go, Python, or TypeScript, with the flexibility to adopt new languages as required by the problem.
  • Proven experience is required in building features utilizing LLM APIs, including those from OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-weight models, alongside agentic frameworks.
  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to identify problems, design comprehensive solutions, and execute shipping them without waiting for direction or approval.
  • A strong track record of moving quickly under tight deadlines while ensuring foundational quality that others can build upon is necessary.
  • Credibility with non-engineering experts, such as finance leads and lawyers, is a valuable asset for this position.
