About this role
This Product Engineer, AI role is focused on building the core software systems that manage the complex, high-speed operations of frontier compute infrastructure. Fluidstack is focused on rapidly delivering massive amounts of AI compute and making sure these models are aligned with human values. The team addresses critical bottlenecks in scaling infrastructure, aiming to automate processes that currently rely on manual effort and judgment. This role exists to take ownership of building essential, high-leverage software products that directly enable the company's ability to deploy AI infrastructure at scale.
The engineer will be responsible for transforming complex operational challenges—such as automating gigawatt delivery schedules, building hiring machinery as software, and creating automated financial views—into robust, functioning systems. This requires a mindset focused on first principles, rapid execution, and seeing projects through from conception to deployment without needing constant oversight. It is ideal for someone who thrives in an environment demanding high urgency and the ability to operate with full autonomy.

What you will do
- Develop software solutions to automate the delivery of gigawatts of AI infrastructure from land to live compute.
- Build the hiring machine as software, integrating recruiting systems and interviewer load visibility into a unified graph.
- Create systems to track near-term company spend by transforming purchase orders and milestones into automated cash demand curves.
- Develop a capital pipeline system that automatically verifies proof chains for financing drawdowns against build milestones.
- Parse complex legal and contract documents to extract obligations, pricing, and deadlines into actionable data.
- Embed forward-deployed teams with finance, treasury, and legal functions by turning approvals and reconciliations into structured data.
What you need
- The candidate must have experience shipping production code in languages such as Go, Python, or TypeScript, and the ability to adapt to different languages based on the problem.
- Demonstrated experience building functional features using LLM APIs, including those from OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-weight models, and agentic frameworks.
- Proven ability to work daily with AI coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor, leveraging agents for autonomous task execution.
- The ability to identify problems, design comprehensive solutions, and execute the shipping process independently without requiring external direction.
- Experience operating quickly under tight deadlines while ensuring the foundational code remains robust for future maintenance.
- Credibility established with external experts outside of engineering, such as finance leads and legal professionals.
