Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer, the candidate will shape the core systems that drive millions of automated, AI-driven customer interactions. Working directly alongside the founding team, this position tackles global telephony, real-time audio, and developer tooling while offering rapid feedback loops and significant product ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Construct foundational platform architecture including prompt orchestration, observability dashboards, testing frameworks, and telephony integrations.
Engineer scalable backend systems and DevOps workflows to guarantee reliable performance across massive call volumes.
Own complex projects through every stage from initial architecture to production deployment and performance monitoring.
Partner closely with product and design teams to build intuitive APIs and developer interfaces that streamline customer onboarding.
Assist with customer onboarding, diagnose issues, and transform real-world user feedback into tangible product enhancements.

Requirements

Possess two or more years of professional backend development experience coupled with solid computer science fundamentals.
Hold a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Background in developing scalable, high-performance backend systems with a focus on concurrency, data storage, or distributed components.
Demonstrate founder-like ownership and an ability to build fast, correct, and reliable core systems.
Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments characterized by rapid learning and complex technical problem-solving.
Exhibit clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to Have

Prior startup experience or demonstrated grit operating inside a high-velocity business environment.
