Role Overview

In this position, the engineer acts as the technical bridge between Retell AI and enterprise clients, embedding directly with customer teams to deploy production-ready voice AI systems. The role involves guiding enterprise clients through adoption, managing end-to-end project delivery, and serving as a product expert. Because the organization experiences rapid growth with enterprise clients in China, Mandarin fluency is a strict requirement for this role to ensure seamless communication with partners and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the entire project lifecycle for voice agent deployments, guiding systems from early prototypes to full production while tracking milestones and risks.
Serve as a resident product expert on voice artificial intelligence implementation, offering advanced guidance on large language model prompting strategies.
Develop comprehensive full-stack integrations connecting voice platforms to enterprise software such as customer relationship management systems and scheduling utilities.
Collaborate closely with the sales division to gather initial client requirements, construct live demonstrations, and outline proposed system designs.
Define project scopes, troubleshoot obstacles, and maintain team alignment through concise progress updates.
Transform recurring deployment patterns into reusable platform components and internal tooling.
Synthesize observations from customer interactions into actionable feedback for product and go-to-market teams.

Requirements

Minimum of two years of professional experience in a customer-facing technical position.
Full professional fluency in both Mandarin and English to support international enterprise accounts.
Willingness to undertake occasional travel, including international trips, for client engagements.
Strong capability in communicating intricate technical architectures clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Track record of deploying production-grade software within fast-paced and ambiguous operational environments.
Proficiency in writing clean, production-ready code in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or equivalent languages.
Familiarity with large language model applications and how they influence user experience.
Demonstrated ability to anticipate risks, push execution forward, and maintain momentum under tight deadlines.
