Role Overview

As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, the professional will embed with enterprise clients to build production-ready systems using Retell's voice agent platform. The position requires bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders, driving platform adoption, and translating field feedback into product improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of projects utilizing Retell's voice agent platform, moving from initial prototyping to full production while communicating progress and risks clearly.
Serve as an expert on constructing voice AI solutions, specializing in LLM prompting tips and tricks.
Develop full-stack integrations using Python and JavaScript with enterprise tools including CRMs, ERPs, and scheduling tools.
Partner with the sales team to engage clients, gather requirements, prototype demos, and present system designs.
Scope projects, overcome technical blockers, and keep cross-functional teams aligned with concise updates.
Codify reusable patterns into internal tools or platform components.
Translate customer feedback from the field into actionable product and go-to-market recommendations.

Requirements

Bring at least 2 years of professional experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Engineer, Technical Product Manager, Customer Success or Support Engineer, or as a former founder.
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Proven track record of delivering systems successfully in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
Capability to write production-grade code in languages such as Python or JavaScript.
Solid understanding of LLM-powered systems and how they influence user experience.
Ability to proactively manage project risks and maintain momentum under high-pressure conditions.
