About this role

Optimizing complex product performance and measuring the impact of high-leverage strategic integrations requires rigorous data analysis and experimentation. Xometry needs a Senior Data Scientist to quantify the success of embedded features within partner ecosystems, such as CAD and PLM integrations, ensuring that cross-system user behavior and business value are clearly understood by leadership.

Daily responsibilities involve designing and executing A/B tests, building metric frameworks for low-volume enterprise cohorts, and translating statistical findings into actionable product improvements. Collaboration with engineering, product, and machine learning teams is central to the role, helping bridge the gap between user intent inside partner software and manufactured outcomes on the marketplace.

An ideal candidate brings deep quantitative expertise, strong SQL proficiency, and a track record of running experiments in multi-surface environments. Someone who thrives on solving identity-resolution and attribution challenges while communicating complex insights to internal and external stakeholders will succeed here.

What you will do

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of product usage, user behavior, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Design, implement, and manage A/B tests, causal analysis, and other experiments with clear hypotheses and success metrics.
  • Own the measurement and experimentation strategy for the embedded DFM AI and IQE integration with external partners.
  • Define key performance indicators and establish robust tracking and reporting mechanisms across both in-CAD and marketplace experiences.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize experiment results, key metrics, and trends for various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and partner engineering teams to iterate on experiment findings.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity for all analysis and experimentation, spanning cross-system data flows.

What you need

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Bring six to eight years of relevant professional experience in data science or product analytics.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization.
  • Possess proven experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing A/B tests and other experiments.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of statistical significance and hypothesis testing.
  • Show strong proficiency in SQL as a mandatory technical requirement.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and presentation skills to explain complex data insights to diverse audiences.

Nice to have

  • Python programming skills
  • Experience with Looker
  • Multi-surface or partner-integration analytics experience
  • CAD, PLM, or manufacturing workflow familiarity
  • Hands-on experience with quasi-experimental and causal inference methods

Benefits

  • 401(k) match
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Generous paid time off including vacation, sick leave, floating and fixed holidays, and maternity and bonding leave
  • EAP and other wellbeing resources
