Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Design and construct generative AI solutions customized for sophisticated financial and legal workflows using state-of-the-art models to boost decision-making efficiency.
Lead the complete model development lifecycle, implementing best practices for reproducible research, delivery, and deployment.
Work collaboratively across departments to understand business challenges, share innovative ideas, and mentor peers.
Translate intricate technical problems into well-scoped initiatives within a fast-paced environment.
Research and apply groundbreaking techniques in advanced fields while iterating rapidly on improvements.
Actively champion the adoption of AI applications throughout the entire organisation.

Requirements

Extensive background in handling complex legal and financial documents such as credit agreements, bond offering memoranda, court filings, and indentures.
Expertise in extracting structured details from lengthy documents, including financial ratios, covenant provisions, thresholds, and transaction mechanics.
Strong comprehension of document architecture, section hierarchy, defined terminology, and cross-references.
Practical experience utilising large language models for high-precision extraction tasks involving schema-driven extraction and citation grounding.
Ability to build review, validation, and reconciliation workflows guaranteeing data accuracy and auditability.
Experience in creating labelled datasets, synthetic data generation, and evaluation frameworks for document extraction.
Proficiency in chunking, context construction, and retrieval mechanisms for long-document reasoning.
Familiarity with debt capital markets, leveraged finance, restructuring, and related legal concepts.
Production-level machine learning engineering capabilities to operate extraction pipelines, model-serving architecture, and monitoring systems.
Strong coding proficiency in Python for production-ready software delivery.
Complete familiarity with the full model lifecycle from experimentation through to deployment and monitoring.
Strong product focus geared toward understanding end-user impact alongside good knowledge of AWS AI infrastructure.
