Role Overview

As a Senior AI Product Manager, you will join an established AI product team to own and expand key areas of 9fin's AI surface. You will work closely with machine learning engineers, data scientists, designers, and domain experts across multiple cross-functional squads. This is a high-autonomy position focused on developing advanced AI capabilities, agentic workflows, and conversational features designed for top-tier financial and legal institutions.

Key Responsibilities

Create and champion a clear product vision and strategy for your designated AI product area, translating qualitative and quantitative insights into structured problem statements.
Shape next-generation agentic AI products, incorporating multi-step reasoning, tool orchestration, and autonomous task completion for financial and legal professionals.
Apply established AI evaluation frameworks, including LLM-as-judge protocols and SME evaluation cycles, to validate and improve shipped products.
Contribute to data strategy by focusing on annotation quality, ground truth curation, and effective feedback loops to boost model performance over time.
Track key metrics measuring client and business benefits while establishing continuous model evaluation and improvement processes.
Communicate product strategy, progress, and technical capabilities transparently across the organization, translating complex AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Champion responsible AI practices, ensuring output transparency, bias monitoring, and compliance with client expectations.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, preferably within FinTech or B2B SaaS, with at least 2 years specifically focused on machine learning or generative AI products.
Working knowledge of RAG architectures, embeddings, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation methods.
Demonstrated experience shipping probabilistic AI products where you defined acceptable quality thresholds and iterated toward success.
Ability to read Python notebooks and SQL queries to interrogate model outputs and usage data.
Track record of managing the tension between machine learning exploration and production delivery constraints.
Strong collaborative leadership style with exceptional stakeholder management and user-centric communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience working in financial services, legal tech, or data and analytics platforms.
Familiarity with credit markets, debt instruments, or regulatory and compliance workflows.
Experience applying natural language processing to document analysis, such as contracts, legal filings, and financial reports.
Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks, tool use patterns, or multi-step AI workflows.
A legal or financial markets background, such as previous experience as a lawyer, paralegal, or credit analyst.
