Developers working with LangChain focus daily on shaping the core platform for observability, evaluation, and production reliability of AI systems. The product manager for LangSmith partners directly with engineers and users to build features that solve deeply technical problems, such as versioning prompt chains or debugging multi-step agent failures.
Team members drive the roadmap for core areas of the platform, collaborating closely with founders and leadership to shape product strategy. What you will do
- Own the product roadmap for a core area of the LangSmith platform.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their challenges and define new product features.
- Partner with engineering teams to define scope, make technical tradeoffs, and ship high-impact features quickly.
- Shape product strategy alongside founders and the leadership team.
What you need
- Bring three or more years of product management or engineering experience, ideally building developer tools, infrastructure products, or technical SaaS platforms.
- Demonstrate deep technical capability to hold conversations about API design, system architecture, data pipelines, and debugging production issues.
- Maintain a bias toward action with a preference for shipping, learning, and iterating quickly.
- Communicate clearly in written and verbal formats to align cross-functional teams around a shared vision.
Nice to have
- Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical background
- Previous experience at a high-growth startup or developer-focused company
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs, agents, or AI applications

What is the salary range for this position?
The annual salary range is $180,000 to $215,000. Compensation also includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks.

The platform includes LangSmith for observability, evaluation, deployment, fleet management, and sandboxes, along with open source frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents. The team also builds the LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement.
