Role Overview

UiPath seeks a Principal Software Engineer to join the Vertical Solutions team in Bangalore. The position focuses on developing an AI agentic orchestration platform designed to help enterprises orchestrate AI agents, robots, and human-in-the-loop workflows. Working closely with the backend team, the engineer will drive product development from prototype to production while operating within an internal startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack Vertical Solutions products using AI coding assistants and daily hands-on coding.
Take ideas from prototype to production by validating solutions with real customers.
Design evaluations and measure system quality against real customer data in non-deterministic systems.
Translate customer needs into technical solutions while building scalable and reliable distributed systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
13+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years focused on distributed systems and backend architecture.
Strong proficiency in system-level languages such as JavaScript, C#, or Java.
Full-stack experience spanning backend services and frontend layers, including React, TypeScript, or other modern frontend frameworks.
Experience building production AI systems such as LLMs, multi-agent architectures, and orchestration frameworks like LangGraph or LangChain.
Hands-on experience with cloud ecosystems, containerization, and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to Have

Experience with healthcare tech, finance tech, or procurement tech systems.
Applied machine learning techniques, data science, evaluation metrics, and large-scale data platforms like Snowflake.
Experience with RAG systems, citation-grounded AI workflows, and workflow orchestration platforms like Temporal or Airflow.
Open-source contributions and background in startups or 0-to-1 product environments.
