Role Overview

The Infrastructure Engineer builds the foundational platform that internal product and research teams rely upon. The professional in this role manages everything from GPU clusters used for model training to cloud architecture, ensuring reliability and cost efficiency across the technical stack.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and scale Kubernetes clusters, incorporating GPU clusters dedicated to model inference and training across both cloud and on-premise environments.
Configure compute resources, networking, permissions, and access controls to support expanding internal teams.
Operate and host data systems required by product development teams.
Develop internal tooling, automations, and self-serve infrastructure services primarily using Python.
Execute large-scale engineering initiatives like cluster deployments and cloud migrations from inception to completion.

Requirements

Extensive, hands-on background running Kubernetes production environments at scale.
Demonstrated proficiency with GCP, including individual contributor experience designing, constructing, and migrating cloud infrastructure.
Advanced Python programming capabilities with a focus on code-based automation for infrastructure challenges.
Background in managing stateful systems such as databases and Kafka for engineering stakeholders.
Strong foundational knowledge of infrastructure as code, security protocols, permissions, and rapid execution pragmatism.

Nice to Have

Background working with GPU clusters or machine learning training and inference infrastructure like vLLM.
Exposure to on-premise, bare-metal, or deep networking implementations.
Contributions to open-source projects within the cloud-native ecosystem.
