Role Overview

The Head of Global People Operations at Banyan Software is a senior leadership position responsible for designing and delivering a modern, AI-enabled global people infrastructure across the organization. Based in Toronto, Ontario, or the United States, this role suits an experienced HR operations professional who enjoys building scalable systems, workflows, and analytics engines from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Own the day-to-day design and delivery of global people infrastructure, systems, processes, compensation programs, and AI-enabled workflows.
Manage end-to-end people processes across the employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, transitions, and offboarding.
Provide the operational infrastructure for a decentralized HRBP model, maintaining HRIS configuration, governance, and people services workflows.
Manage global compensation programs, annual cycles, job architecture, leveling, benchmarking, and pay equity analysis.
Lead the selection and implementation of a modern, AI-enabled global HR system, handling the RFP, vendor evaluation, configuration, and rollout.
Oversee benefits execution infrastructure, ensuring clean integration with HR systems globally.
Manage people policies and global employment compliance, partnering with Legal on employment law, data privacy, and jurisdictional requirements.
Identify and build high-value AI and automation use cases for talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee service.
Build the global analytics capability by defining key metrics, shipping dashboards, and generating predictive insights.
Build and lead a high-performing global team, establishing operating priorities and execution standards.

Requirements

Bring 8 to 12 years of experience across People Operations or HR Operations within global organizations.
Hands-on experience building and shipping HRIS implementations, compensation programs, analytics dashboards, and automated workflows.
Demonstrated fluency in AI and automation tools for HR, with the ability to evaluate vendor capabilities accurately.
Proven background in building and maintaining HR policies and managing global employment compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Strong data and systems mindset with an understanding of how people data connects to broader enterprise data platforms.
Comfortable operating with ambiguity in complex, decentralized, and multi-entity environments.
Possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with advanced degrees or relevant certifications considered a plus.

Salary and Benefits

Expected base salary for candidates in Canada ranges from CAD $180,000 to $230,000 annually, excluding annual bonus and equity when applicable.
Expected base salary for candidates in the USA ranges from $200,000 to $240,000 USD annually, excluding annual bonus and equity when applicable.
Salary is determined by factors including market conditions, location, and relevant job-related skills and experience.
