Role Overview

ElevenLabs seeks a skilled technologist to join the Creative Voices squad, which manages speech and voice products like Text-to-Speech, Speech-to-Text, Voice Changer, Voice Isolator, Voice Library, and Voice Cloning. The professional in this position will work alongside security and research engineering teams to develop and maintain the architecture powering foundational audio tools.

Key Responsibilities

Update and modernise voice architecture by improving storage systems, data models, and APIs.
Implement monitoring, automated retries, and failure recovery mechanisms to stabilise fine-tuning and voice cloning pipelines.
Develop features for voice recommendation, creation, and verification.
Manage complete project workstreams from initial design through to production deployment, handling frontend updates when necessary.

Requirements

Extensive backend engineering background focused on constructing and scaling production systems with heavy traffic.
Solid understanding of database principles and system design, covering concurrency, security, data modelling, and migrations.
Proven capability in running production services, supported by debugging, failure recovery, and monitoring expertise.
Self-directed project ownership, transparent communication, and the ability to ship features swiftly across the technology stack.
