Role Overview

In this position, the engineer builds user-facing features for LangSmith, an enterprise platform dedicated to large language model application observability, testing, and debugging. The professional collaborates closely with UX and UI designers, as well as full-stack and backend developers, to deliver intuitive interfaces that help development teams operate AI agents at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Construct new user-facing features utilizing React and TypeScript.
Create reusable front-end libraries and components for future application.
Convert wireframes and design mockups into high-quality source code.
Ensure optimal component performance across diverse web browsers and devices.
Partner with design and engineering peers to improve overall platform usability.

Requirements

Minimum of two years of front-end engineering experience.
High proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
Practical experience using build and package tools such as Webpack, Vite, Babel, NPM, and Yarn.
Familiarity with REST APIs and experience collaborating with backend teams.
Understanding of modern authorization protocols including JWTs.
Strong computer science foundations, typically accompanied by a degree in computer science or a related discipline.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Ownership mindset suited for a fast-paced startup environment.
