ElevenLabs is seeking a Developer Experience Engineer to join the growth team in London or remotely. This full-time position suits hands-on engineers who love building open-source projects, designing robust APIs, and empowering developer communities.

Role Overview

The Developer Experience Engineer will elevate the ElevenLabs developer journey to industry-leading standards. Working across the full stack, the individual will create and sustain open-source software, support client and server-side SDKs, and build essential developer tooling. Serving as the primary internal user for new features, this position involves refining the ElevenLabs API, triaging technical issues, and contributing to the technical ecosystem that supports thousands of external developers and enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

Design, construct, and maintain open-source projects, including client and server-side SDKs and MCP servers.
Shape and refine the ElevenLabs API to deliver a seamless developer journey for both new and existing products.
Act as customer zero for upcoming developer products to ensure top-tier usability and reliability.
Produce engaging technical content, such as thorough and informative blog posts.
Triage technical issues efficiently while communicating clearly with the developer community.

Requirements

Demonstrated enjoyment of building and maintaining open-source projects, ideally with experience creating or maintaining SDKs.
Strong full-stack engineering capabilities coupled with a distinct flair for API design.
A genuine passion for writing engaging technical content and in-depth blog posts.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to triage technical challenges effectively.
