Deployed Architect, Professional Services (Remote)
About this role
LangChain builds the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, developing open-source tools and a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating intelligent agents at scale. The Professional Services team is currently looking for a Deployed Architect to collaborate directly with enterprise clients on the design and optimization of production-grade AI infrastructure and agent systems.
In this capacity, the engineer will architect scalable infrastructure deployments while building reliable, well-evaluated agent applications to resolve practical business challenges. The position bridges software development, platform engineering, and client-facing responsibilities, requiring an individual who can handle everything from Kubernetes cluster design to multi-agent architectures.
Candidates who succeed in this environment possess a strong background in both infrastructure and agent engineering domains, alongside the communication skills needed to lead technical maturity assessments and guide client implementation. What you will do
- Design scalable and highly available infrastructure for AI platform deployments, covering compute, storage, networking, security, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Architect multi-agent systems using modern frameworks and implement robust agent logic alongside comprehensive evaluation methods.
- Lead technical maturity assessments and work directly with enterprise clients to understand requirements and present architectural recommendations.
- Partner closely with internal Engagement Managers, Product teams, and Engineering teams to ensure successful customer implementations.
- Optimize prompts using A/B testing and guide the overall deployment and operational phases of AI applications.
What you need
- Bring 7 or more years of experience in technical, hands-on customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect or Forward Deployed Engineer.
- Possess at least 3 years of experience designing and deploying production infrastructure on major cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Demonstrate strong Kubernetes experience including cluster design, autoscaling, and multi-zone deployments.
- Have at least 1 year of experience building production AI or machine learning applications and agents.
- Show strong development skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Possess experience with database systems, Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Helm, and CI/CD pipelines.
