Role Overview

The Compliance Engineer will collaborate across departments to uphold crucial frameworks like FedRAMP, GovRAMP, CJIS, and CMMC. This role directly supports enterprise expansion into sectors such as defense, finance, and state government by guiding risk assessments, handling security questionnaires, and automating compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate across teams to maintain US Government compliance certifications and frameworks including GovRAMP, FedRAMP, CJIS, and CMMC.
Help shape the enterprise offering for regulated industries like finance, defense, and local or state government.
Build comprehensive technical documentation demonstrating compliance across the entire technology stack.
Assist the sales team by answering client security requests and managing compliance queries.
Conduct risk assessments using NIST or CIS frameworks, document findings, and guide teams toward efficient compliance.
Enhance compliance as code tooling to automate monitoring and reporting while reducing friction for internal teams.

Requirements

Experience completing vendor security assessments and client security questionnaires in US regulated industries such as government and defense.
Strong technical expertise in managing and executing compliance with hands-on use of tools like Vanta.
Proven ability to maintain and acquire certifications while managing audit readiness and documentation.
Experience collaborating cross-functional with engineering, legal, and sales teams to communicate requirements.
Experience with public cloud compliance in AWS, GCP, or Azure and automating cloud environments.
Familiarity with integrating compliance tools into CI/CD pipelines to automate monitoring and reporting.
