Role Overview

ElevenLabs seeks a Commercial Counsel to join the legal team in India and handle transactions across India and the broader APAC region. The position involves supporting SaaS, licensing, and strategic partnerships while providing practical guidance to enable growth and manage regional risk.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements focusing on GTM and sales transactions in India, including enterprise customer contracts
Partner with sales, business development, and operations teams to support high-growth go-to-market initiatives
Monitor and interpret regional legal and regulatory developments in data protection, technology, and artificial intelligence
Develop, maintain, and localize contract templates, playbooks, and policies based on regional requirements and industry standards
Deliver practical legal advice to cross-functional teams to foster responsible growth and innovation
Scale the legal team's commercial function through a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach

Requirements

Possaut a law degree and qualification to practice law in India
Bring seven or more years of relevant post-qualification legal experience, preferably in-house within technology or SaaS
Demonstrate a proven track record of drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements
Possess strong knowledge of enterprise software licensing, SaaS, data protection, and intellectual property
Show experience in advising on privacy, cybersecurity, and cross-border data transfer matters
