Role Overview

Paytm is hiring a full-time Backend - Technical Lead in Bangalore for their Travel department. This role suits an experienced engineer ready to design scalable architectures, coach team members, and drive technology-first projects for high-scale distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design scalable backend architectures and drive systems supporting over 100 million daily active users.
Optimize APIs to achieve sub-50ms latencies while serving massive user bases.
Actively utilize artificial intelligence tools to speed up architecture design, code reviews, and prototyping.
Mentor fellow engineers, conduct code reviews, and champion engineering excellence and best practices.

Requirements

Possess 4 to 6 years of hands-on backend engineering experience working with Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
Demonstrate proven ownership of high-scale distributed systems with deep knowledge of microservices, caching, storage optimization, and cloud scalability.
Bring clear architectural thinking capable of designing systems built for billions of transactions.
Maintain an AI-first mindset, leveraging GPT and other coding assistants to boost developer productivity.
Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field exclusively from Tier 1 or Tier 2 colleges.
