About this role

Reviewing user feedback, working through product issues, and submitting code fixes occupy the daily routine in this contractor position. Human Agency builds secure, scalable, and human-centered AI strategies and products, and the senior team is currently shipping so fast that they need dedicated help to keep product rough edges from slowing users down. The person in this role will triage reported bugs, separate useful signal from noise, monitor overall product quality, and use AI tooling like Claude Code to accelerate resolution times.

This role exists because leadership needs someone with sharp product instincts to maintain tight product quality while they focus on building new features. A successful candidate possesses a builder-first mindset, takes ownership of deliverables without needing constant reminders, and brings hands-on experience from technical support, QA, or product roles. Strong performance and clear judgment in this contract capacity could eventually open the door to direct product building and client-facing solution work.

What you will do

  • Work through product issues reported by users with speed and precision, regularly touching the codebase to submit and validate fixes before release.
  • Read between the lines of user feedback to identify root problems rather than surface complaints, prioritizing issues based on actual user impact.
  • Maintain a running pulse on the user experience across products to flag patterns and systemic issues before they compound.
  • Test changes thoroughly, check relevant edge cases, and confirm that original workflows function correctly before marking an issue resolved.
  • Leverage Claude Code and other AI-assisted workflows to move faster and resolve issues without sacrificing output quality.
  • Communicate crisply and specifically with cross-functional teammates about what is broken, what is fixed, and what needs attention.
  • Document fixes, edge cases, and recurring issues to build institutional knowledge over time.

What you need

  • Bring hands-on experience working on software products in a QA, product, or technical support role.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with building or experimenting with Claude Code to accelerate practical work.
  • Show a track record of resolving product issues quickly and independently without requiring constant supervision.
  • Possess the ability to read user feedback and extract meaningful signal from noise.
  • Understand enough about user experience to distinguish between genuine usability problems and minor complaints.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and know how to escalate issues effectively to product leads.
