About this role

The senior team is shipping features rapidly, creating friction points and product rough edges that require a dedicated specialist to resolve so leadership can maintain momentum. Human Agency needs someone with sharp product instincts to triage user feedback, work directly in the codebase, and exercise judgment about what requires an immediate fix versus what can be ignored. Operating as an independent contractor, the person in this role will keep product quality tight by validating edge cases, managing bug volume, and leveraging AI tools to move quickly.

What you will do

  • Work through product issues reported by users with speed and precision, regularly digging into the codebase to submit and validate fixes.
  • Interpret user feedback to uncover the actual underlying problem rather than just addressing surface complaints.
  • Maintain a running pulse on the user experience across products to flag patterns and systemic issues early.
  • Own the complete testing cycle of changes, including checking edge cases to confirm original workflows function properly.
  • Utilize Claude Code and other artificial intelligence tools to accelerate issue resolution without losing human judgment.
  • Communicate across teams with crisp updates detailing what is broken, what is fixed, and what needs attention.
  • Document fixes, edge cases, and recurring issues to build institutional knowledge over time.

What you need

  • Hands-on experience working on software products in a QA, product, or technical support capacity.
  • Experience building or experimenting with Claude Code and applying AI tooling to accelerate real software work.
  • A track record of resolving product issues independently and quickly without constant supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to read user feedback, separate signal from noise, and understand UX implications.
  • Clear written communication skills for escalating issues to product leads effectively.
  • Comfort working without a rigid, predefined process while creating systems to manage volume.
