Key Responsibilities

Formulate and execute the engineering strategy for Tide's fraud, financial crime, and ongoing monitoring platforms.
Lead cross-functional engineering groups spanning backend, frontend, data science, machine learning engineering, and analytics engineering.
Guide managers and senior engineers while developing a strong leadership pipeline.
Direct the complete model lifecycle, moving developments from initial creation through backtesting, shadow deployments, and staged rollouts into production monitoring.
Scale agentic AI solutions within regulated workflows while enforcing strict governance and evaluation frameworks.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders across product, design, risk, business, operations, and engineering to deliver measurable efficiency outcomes and lower fraud losses.
Unify domestic and international payment flows by taking ownership of the Decision Engine and Decision Intelligence Platform.

Requirements

Proven professional experience leading engineering organisations within fraud, financial crime, risk management, or comparable real-time decisioning environments.
Demonstrated capability in turning platform investments into tangible results regarding fraud mitigation, automated alert throughput, and reduced unit economics.
Direct background in scaling machine learning models from initial development into live production while maintaining ongoing performance oversight.
Professional history operating within strict regulatory frameworks alongside second-line risk, compliance functions, and external regulators.
Exceptional judgement covering organisational design, delivery execution, platform strategy, data architecture, and technical excellence.
Track record of leading distributed technical teams across multiple geographical markets under a unified roadmap.

Nice to Have

Practical background deploying artificial intelligence or agentic systems inside regulated workflows, backed by a strong comprehension of governance, evaluation, and human oversight.
