VoidZero Developer Relations Engineer
About this role
Bridging the gap between complex web infrastructure tools and the developers who rely on them requires a dedicated communicator who can demystify open-source technology. The VoidZero team builds foundational tools like Vite, Vitest, Rolldown, Oxc, and Vite+, and this hire exists to advocate for the developer community while ensuring product teams understand real-world user feedback.
The person stepping into this role will spend their time creating end-to-end technical content, including documentation, blog posts, videos, live streams, and tutorials. They will also cultivate relationships across platforms like Twitter, Discord, and YouTube while collaborating closely with engineering and marketing peers. An ideal candidate identifies as a builder, teacher, and mentor who feels equally comfortable writing code and producing educational content for the global developer ecosystem.
What you will do
- Produce end-to-end technical content such as documentation, tutorials, blog posts, videos, and live streams to teach developers how to use products.
- Represent the user voice during product discussions by bringing community feedback and papercuts back to internal product teams.
- Cultivate relationships and grow the developer community as an empathetic point of contact across various platforms.
- Collaborate across the open-source ecosystem with peers, partners, and maintainers to showcase integrations and extensions.
- Partner with product development, engineering, and marketing to align content with broader company and ecosystem goals.
What you need
- Have at least three years of experience as a software engineer, machine learning engineer, or in developer relations with hands-on coding ability.
- Demonstrate strong JavaScript and TypeScript experience alongside extensive knowledge of the broader JavaScript ecosystem.
- Show proof of building community engagement across platforms like Twitter, Discord, and YouTube.
- Bring a track record of producing developer content including blog posts, talks, tutorials, and videos.
- Communicate clearly through both spoken and written mediums while working effectively in cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Experience maintaining open-source projects
- Familiarity with Vite, Vitest, Rolldown, Oxc, and Vite+
- Experience building with AI tooling and large language models
- Strong analytical and debugging skills as a data- and systems-oriented problem solver
- Ability to speak and write in multiple languages

For Portugal based hires, the estimated annual salary is between €54,000 and €80,000, which is inclusive of time exemption and eligible for incentive compensation under Cloudflare's Sales Compensation Plan.
