Role Overview

The Glance TV Product and UX team in Bangalore is seeking a UX Designer to shape AI-powered shopping experiences for connected living rooms. This role suits a creative professional with a strong background in consumer products who wants to build innovative commerce solutions on TV screens at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Define feature goals and understand user needs thoroughly before starting any visual design work.
Explore multiple directions and present well-reasoned design alternatives rather than relying on a single idea.
Build complete, coherent flows that account for loading, empty states, errors, first-run sequences, and offline scenarios.
Deliver polished user interfaces by working fluently within the existing design system and extending it thoughtfully.
Create interactive prototypes to validate motion, focus behavior, and TV remote interactions.
Partner closely with product managers and engineering teams from initial concept through to live deployment.
Communicate design reasoning clearly and contribute positively to peer critiques and team collaboration.

Requirements

Approximately 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience designing consumer products with a portfolio of shipped work.
A portfolio that highlights decision-making processes, alternative explorations, and lessons learned.
High standards of visual craft combined with the restraint to recognize when a design is complete.
Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and ask clarifying questions when needed.
Genuine curiosity about artificial intelligence as a core design material.
Enthusiasm for working on emerging product surfaces without established design playbooks.

Nice to Have

Prior experience designing for television screens or connected TV platforms.
