About this role
Scaling the financial infrastructure for the newly developing Ads business requires establishing robust forecasting and performance measurement methods. The Strategic Finance organization guides long-term strategy across product lines, and the Applications Technology Strategic Finance team works directly with Product and GTM leaders to manage revenue and pricing.
Operating as a senior thought partner for Ad Sales leadership, the selected professional will design financial foundations, evaluate new initiatives, and build operating models for multiple advertising formats and markets. Candidates who succeed here bring extensive analytical experience in technology sectors, a thorough understanding of digital advertising business models, and the ability to turn complex data into clear guidance for executive leadership.
What you will do
- Collaborate with Ad Sales leadership to shape business strategy and guide investment decisions.
- Evaluate financial performance by modeling revenue, establishing core metrics, and tracking variances.
- Partner with Product and GTM leaders during strategic initiatives and new product launches.
- Translate business trends into actionable insights for daily decisions and long-term planning.
- Scale financial planning processes including forecasting methodologies and management reporting.
- Prepare executive and Board materials that communicate business performance and strategic recommendations.
What you need
- Bring over 8 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or buy-side investing alongside operating experience at a scaling technology company.
- Possess at least 2 years of Ads Finance experience with direct P&L ownership across various markets and formats.
- Demonstrate exceptional financial modeling skills for building detailed operating models and product P&Ls.
- Exhibit strong business judgment to critically assess financial performance, opportunities, and risks.
- Communicate complex financial insights clearly to senior leadership with high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with digital advertising business models and basic experience using SQL.
