Role Overview

Aircall is looking for a Staff Software Engineer, AI to join the San Francisco office and build scalable artificial intelligence applications for over twenty thousand clients. This position suits an experienced backend professional who wants to shape cutting-edge customer communication technology in a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable AI applications for the AI Products Platform team.
Focus on core areas including agent context, agent memory, Model Context Protocol, and agent infrastructure.
Participate in requirements analysis and system design alongside backend, frontend, infrastructure, product, and leadership groups.
Prioritize security across all development phases to ensure robust performance.

Requirements

Bring eight or more years of backend development experience using Python, TypeScript, Node.js, or Java.
Deliver software with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, availability, and performance.
Knowledge of artificial intelligence, including working with large language models like GPT, Mistral, Llama, and Claude.
Familiarity with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Auto Gen, along with AI architectures like RAG and reranking.

Nice to Have

Production environment experience with AWS, including understanding how to design, deploy, and utilize Amazon services effectively.
