Role Overview

AlphaSense is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join the expanding mobile team on a remote basis within the United Kingdom. In this role, the designer spearheads feature strategic design work across Android and iOS platforms, utilizing exceptional creative skills to shape overall aesthetics, functionality, and usability. The position involves collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to ensure product designs align with both user requirements and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Build mobile-first wireframes, prototypes, and visual design experiences communicating product functionality and user experience clearly.
Conduct customer interviews, surveys, and usability testing to identify user behaviors, pain points, and needs, then iterate designs using feedback and data analysis.
Create and execute a design strategy aligned with overarching company goals.
Work alongside product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate user requirements into interactive mobile designs.
Develop and grow native mobile design systems while adapting to evolving design patterns and component libraries.
Partner with engineering teams during development to champion design fidelity, attention to detail, and overall user experience quality.
Communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively with cross-departmental partners.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, or a related field.
Five or more years of experience in product design, specifically focusing on mobile applications.
A robust portfolio displaying expertise in visual interaction design processes for both Android and iOS platforms.
Enthusiasm for addressing unique user experience challenges related to Generative AI and turning intricate functionalities into user-friendly experiences.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, end-to-end customer workflows, and ability to convert new users into habitual users.
Demonstrated experience in project leadership and mentoring team members.

Nice to Have

Experience designing within an enterprise SaaS context.

Skills and Tools

Figma for design and prototyping.
Native mobile design systems and component libraries.
User-centered design methodologies and usability testing.
Strong communication, project leadership, and team mentorship abilities.
