AlphaSense is seeking a Staff or Senior Product Designer to join the mobile team in Helsinki, Finland. This position is ideal for an experienced design professional looking to shape intuitive mobile applications for a global business intelligence platform.

Role Overview

In this position, you will lead strategic design initiatives across both iOS and Android platforms to deliver outstanding user experiences. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to ensure product designs align with business goals and user requirements, shaping overall product aesthetics, usability, and functionality. Your work will focus on transforming complex, AI-powered business tools into clear, user-friendly mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design mobile-first wireframes, visual experiences, and prototypes that effectively communicate product functionality.
Conduct customer research through surveys, interviews, and usability testing to understand user behavior and pain points.
Develop and execute a comprehensive design strategy aligned with company objectives.
Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate user needs into interactive designs.
Build and maintain native mobile design systems, adapting to evolving design patterns and component libraries.
Advocate for design quality and high fidelity throughout the entire development lifecycle.
Communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to cross-departmental partners.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience in product design, specifically focused on mobile applications.
A robust portfolio displaying expertise in visual interaction design processes for both iOS and Android platforms.
Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and end-to-end customer workflows.
Strong communication, collaboration, and project leadership skills.

Nice to Have

Experience designing products within an enterprise SaaS environment.
Demonstrated background in mentoring and guiding team members to foster professional growth.

Skills and Tools

Proficiency in Figma and other industry-standard prototyping tools.
Expertise in mobile-first wireframing and native mobile design systems.
Translating Generative AI functionalities into user-friendly experiences.
