About this role
Scale AI needs a Staff Product Designer to tackle the complex design challenges within the rapidly expanding Enterprise Data business unit, helping large organizations deploy artificial intelligence applications. The person in this position will shape multiple products from scratch alongside mature offerings, building powerful tools tailored for insurance AI, document processing, and related enterprise workflows. Operating as the founding designer for this division, the individual will bridge the gap between technical complexity and user clarity while partnering closely with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and operations teams. Candidates who thrive in this environment are comfortable managing high ambiguity, executing rapidly under tight timelines, and advocating fiercely for the end user across desktop web applications.
What you will do
- Design comprehensive end-to-end user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes specifically for desktop web applications.
- Collaborate directly with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and operations professionals to address complex product and business challenges.
- Serve as the founding designer for the business unit to consistently champion the voice of the user.
- Execute and prioritize tasks efficiently within a fast-paced setting characterized by rapid timelines, wide scope, and high ambiguity.
- Help evolve the company-wide design system and established interaction patterns.
- Take full ownership of identifying product gaps and rallying team support around proposed design solutions.
What you need
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end design for B2B and enterprise web applications.
- Extremely high proficiency in Figma combined with the ability to execute work at a fast speed.
- Prior experience designing complex dashboards, data visualization elements, domain-specific editors, and forms.
- A solid understanding of front-end development processes for modern web interfaces.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including direct participation in customer-facing meetings.
- A robust portfolio showcasing product design projects that highlight a diverse range of skills.
