Role Overview

The Staff Cloud Platform Engineer - Cloud Developer Experience position at AlphaSense in Helsinki involves leading the outer loop of software development for roughly 400 global engineers. Key Responsibilities

Own and evolve the CI/CD architecture and the overall developer-facing experience.
Drive continuous improvements to pipeline reliability, speed, and predictability.
Define paved paths that empower product teams to ship code quickly and safely without requiring deep platform knowledge.
Manage the delivery process end-to-end, spanning from code merge all the way to production.
Champion progressive delivery practices, including canary deployments and automated rollbacks.
Build tooling designed to make deployments observable, repeatable, and self-service.
Own and evolve the Internal Developer Portal and its associated self-service capabilities.
Partner closely with Cloud Platform teams on infrastructure while taking ownership of developer-facing delivery.
Embed AI tooling into delivery workflows to generate lasting productivity gains.

Requirements

Strong experience in Platform Engineering or Developer Experience roles focused on CI/CD and delivery, ideally within organizations of 200 or more engineers.
Experience owning and operating a CI/CD platform at the admin and architecture level, covering security, configuration, and enablement.
Proven ability to design and operate delivery systems at scale.
Hands-on software development experience that includes writing production-quality Go.
A passion for progressive delivery practices such as canary deployments and automated rollbacks.
Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes-based platforms.
A passion for utilizing AI to improve engineering velocity, quality, and overall developer experience.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence and lead across multiple teams.

Nice to Have

Experience building and maintaining an Internal Developer Portal (IDP) in production.
Previous professional background working within both Software and Platform Engineering teams.
An interest in security alongside an understanding of RBAC and OAuth.
