Key Responsibilities

Define and evolve the Android architecture, modular boundaries, and native engineering patterns to support scalable product growth.
Lead through hands-on Android system design, turning complex platform problems into durable production architecture.
Shape validation practices, automation, observability, and rollout strategies to improve delivery confidence and software reliability.
Partner with iOS, backend, product, and design teams to establish clear mobile-facing system contracts and API behaviors.
Turn complex mobile-system challenges into reusable standards and elevate engineering judgment across multiple teams.
Read, debug, and make targeted contributions to backend systems whenever necessary to unblock mobile-facing outcomes.

Requirements

Deep expertise in modern production Android architecture with a documented history of setting technical standards for a platform or domain.
Ability to represent mobile platform principles from a strong Android base, with iOS fluency to guide cross-functional architectural choices.
Experience shaping mobile-facing platform contracts, API behaviors, or backend service boundaries that enhance native client experiences.
Background in shaping AI-enabled engineering systems that boost validation, product quality, and delivery confidence.
Strong reliability and release-quality judgment for production mobile systems.
Track record of mentoring engineers by turning complex concepts into clear standards and reusable patterns.
Excellent product judgment and communication skills to connect technical choices directly to customer outcomes.

Nice to Have

Experience building Android product experiences across varied device form factors such as foldables, wearables, or Android Auto.
Familiarity with enterprise mobile environments featuring identity, compliance, security constraints, or MDM/EMM requirements.
Experience shaping mobile design-system foundations and design-to-code workflows to improve accessibility, velocity, and AI-assisted UI generation.
