Role Overview

MaintainX is hiring a Sr. Director, MaintainX AI based in San Francisco to oversee the development of intelligence layers for industrial operations. The position involves driving innovation across agentic artificial intelligence, machine learning platforms, and go-to-market solutions following the company's integration into Autodesk Operations Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Define the long-term product and platform vision, establishing clear milestones and performance indicators for artificial intelligence initiatives.
Direct the design and construction of scalable agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation frameworks, and evaluation pipelines.
Oversee the delivery of predictive models using tabular, vibration, IoT, and multimodal sensor data to minimize equipment downtime.
Hire, mentor, and scale a multi-disciplinary technical organization spanning machine learning, product, and platform development.
Collaborate across engineering, product design, marketing, sales, and customer support to embed workflow-native intelligence.

Requirements

Twelve or more years of professional background in applied artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Seven or more years of experience leading teams within high-growth, data-driven technology companies.
Demonstrated success in architecting, developing, and deploying predictive deep learning models into production at scale.
Technical background spanning multimodal machine learning, MLOps, or agentic frameworks.
Ability to operate at multiple organizational levels, ranging from deep architectural reviews to executive strategic planning.
