Role Overview

The Solutions Engineer (Clearance Required) position at Scale AI is an on-site role based in Washington, DC, designed for technical professionals holding an active TS/SCI government security clearance. This position suits individuals with a strong engineering background who want to shape the early-stage federal business by adapting commercial products for public sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

Master the end-to-end functionality of Scale products to support rapid customer adoption and long-term partnerships.
Build customized demonstrations and collateral tailored for federal stakeholders at both the executive and analyst levels.
Collaborate with Scale Account Executives to execute customer pilots according to agreed-upon requirements.
Integrate and ingest various external datasets to address specific government use cases.
Engage daily with customers to identify pain points and design effective technical solutions.
Coordinate with internal product and engineering teams to translate customer requirements into new Scale capabilities.
Understand public sector mission sets and strategic objectives to effectively showcase company products.

Requirements

Active US Government Security Clearance with TS/SCI requirement.
Based in the Washington, DC area or willing to relocate.
Strong engineering background in computer science, mathematics, or related quantitative fields.
Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to quickly learn new technology stacks and troubleshoot efficiently.
Prior experience working with Public Sector customers across National Security and Federal Civilian communities.
Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Javascript, Typescript, or Bash scripts.
Background or familiarity working in AI and machine learning, particularly Generative AI and Large Language Models.
Willingness to roll up sleeves and help build a business in a fast-paced environment.

Salary and Benefits

Base salary range for Washington, DC: $186,400 to $233,000 USD.
Eligible for equity-based compensation subject to Board of Director approval.
