The Global Public Sector team develops custom AI applications, generates high-quality training data for national large language models, and delivers upskilling and advisory services.
Incoming interns own real, shipped work on the same roadmaps as full-time engineers rather than working on isolated side projects. Software engineering interns build reinforcement learning pipelines, develop evaluation infrastructure, ship agentic AI applications, and create optimized UI/UX tooling combined with machine learning algorithms. Candidates who succeed here possess prior software engineering internship experience, a track record of shipping products, and strong product engineering skills. What you will do
- Build reinforcement learning and post-training data pipelines that support frontier model development.
- Develop evaluation infrastructure to measure model reliability for enterprise and public sector customers.
- Ship agentic AI applications alongside the tooling required to keep them observable, testable, and safe.
- Create optimized UI/UX tooling combined with machine learning algorithms for platform contributors.
- Develop new AI infrastructure products designed to visualize, query, and explore data at scale.
What you need
- Graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028 with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, EECS, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- Availability for a Summer 2027 internship with May or June start dates.
- Prior product engineering experience encompassing full-stack web application development, API integration, customer interaction, and iterative scoping.
- Demonstrated previous computer science or software engineering internship experience.
- Proven track record of shipping high-quality products and features.
- Experience building systems that process large volumes of data.
- Familiarity with Python, TypeScript, React, and/or MongoDB.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, evaluations, or agentic systems from coursework, research, or personal projects.
- Open source contributions or a portfolio of shipped side projects.
