Role Overview

Assembled is seeking an experienced software engineer to strengthen the base of its platform organization. This group drives the core systems supporting all product offerings end-to-end. Responsibilities span the underlying infrastructure, integration pipelines for external data ingestion, and modern data platforms that transform and serve information organization-wide. Professionals in this role will tackle complex challenges involving reliable application infrastructure, scalable data handling, and robust operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Evolve and scale application infrastructure to guarantee reliable enterprise operations, focusing on container orchestration, security, and cost-efficiency.
Design and maintain integrations platforms and connectors to pull data from critical customer systems, CRMs, and AI providers.
Develop modern data foundations that transform raw integration information into queryable, reliable datasets for analytics and reporting.
Balance low-latency operational paths with heavy analytical workflows to support real-time requirements without redundant logic.

Requirements

Bring five or more years of professional engineering experience working on backend, infrastructure, or platform systems.
Demonstrate an enthusiasm for tackling foundational problems across integrations, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
Excel in ambiguous environments by determining appropriate system boundaries, abstractions, and architectural tradeoffs.
Prioritize maintainability, performance, and reliability while building tools that empower fellow developers.
Collaborate effectively across teams to ensure platform initiatives drive tangible business and product results.

Skills and Tools

Cloud provider experience with AWS
Container orchestration using Kubernetes and Karpenter
Datastore familiarity including Postgres, PgBouncer, Snowflake, and Redis
Programming languages such as Go and Python
