Role Overview

As a Platform Software Engineer at Rogo, this individual will own the architecture, reliability, and developer experience for a Kubernetes-driven infrastructure. The position requires guiding system design to support explosive customer growth while partnering closely with product teams to accelerate delivery and maintain robust operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable architectures within a Kubernetes framework tailored for secure enterprise workloads.
Drive reliability initiatives by establishing service level objectives, managing capacity planning, and improving overall system resilience.
Uncover and resolve architectural risks and system misconfigurations to ensure clear failure modes during rapid scaling.
Build internal platform systems, environments, and deployment tools that act as self-serve solutions for product developers.
Establish engineering standards, design principles, and structured approaches to complex infrastructure challenges.

Requirements

Extensive, production-grade expertise in scaling Kubernetes from early-stage environments to production-critical workloads.
Deep familiarity with the operational tradeoffs inherent in distributed systems.
Professional background originating from big tech followed by a startup, or experience within a startup that successfully scaled its infrastructure.
Strong systems-level mindset and the ability to operate effectively within ambiguous situations.
Demonstrated desire to act as a hands-on technical owner with broad organizational impact.

Nice to Have

Prior experience designing and implementing single-tenant architectures.
Professional background working within financial services or other heavily regulated industries.
Familiarity with banking-level security protocols and enterprise data governance standards.
