What you will do
- Provide technical leadership to guide architectural decisions and implementation across the Presence platform.
- Design and build backend systems to support reliable, high-volume agent workflows in enterprise use cases.
- Develop platform capabilities that enable agent development and learning derived from real-world interactions.
- Identify and resolve performance and reliability bottlenecks as agent workflows become more complex.
- Collaborate across backend infrastructure and product experiences to translate evolving requirements into functional software.
What you need
- Possess at least nine years of professional engineering experience in backend, platform, or product engineering roles.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of hands-on technical leadership, including setting architecture and guiding engineering teams.
- Require deep backend engineering and systems design skills, with proficiency in at least one backend programming language.
- Must have experience designing robust services, data models, and interfaces that maintain reliability under increasing usage.
- Need strong production engineering judgment to diagnose failures, reason about scalability, and improve reliability through operational discipline.
- Must possess strong product judgment to align technical decisions with user needs, balancing speed, reliability, and maintainability.
