Role Overview

As a Backend Software Engineer at Rogo, you will work at the intersection of artificial intelligence research and application development. This role focuses on scaling innovative solutions for major enterprise clients within the investment banking and private equity industries. You will play an instrumental part in defining a brand-new category of enterprise software.

Key Responsibilities

Architect robust REST and gRPC application programming interfaces supported by scalable server-side logic and asynchronous code.
Design and construct large-scale infrastructure capable of powering crawling, ranking, and retrieval operations.
Develop secure and compliant software solutions capable of processing sensitive financial data safely.
Produce clean, well-tested code that remains maintainable and easy to read over time.
Elevate engineering standards by enhancing code quality, reliability, and delivery speed.

Requirements

Hold a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field.
Demonstrate professional experience working with a strongly typed programming language such as Java, Rust, or C++.
Bring a minimum of four years of direct experience building and scaling complex distributed systems.
Exhibit a proven history of successfully shipping high-quality technology products.
Possess solid fundamental computer science knowledge coupled with strong programming capabilities.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with interface definition languages, including protocol buffers and gRPC frameworks.
Background utilizing Map Reduce or alternative massively distributed parallel computation tools.
Previous experience working as an early engineer within a hyper-growth startup environment.
History of employment at world-class product organizations like Figma or Notion.
