Role Overview

Cohere is hiring a Software Engineer, Adoption to work on North, an advanced AI workspace platform designed to change how enterprises utilize artificial intelligence. The main objective is delivering dependable software that enables customers to safely augment and automate real business processes through trusted agents and automations.

Key Responsibilities

Design and release features for the North AI workspace platform.
Create autonomous agents capable of interacting with sensitive enterprise data securely.
Write concise code that operates efficiently in resource-constrained settings with stringent deployment rules.
Re-invent internal tooling or custom solutions when security and privacy standards prevent the use of standard public libraries.
Partner closely with researchers to move state-of-the-art models and techniques into production environments.

Requirements

Bring at least two years of professional software development experience.
Demonstrated history of shipping substantial full-stack code using Python and React in production.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while executing effectively amidst shifting priorities.
Background working across both large corporate enterprises and nimble startup organizations.
Strong coding fundamentals with comfort operating across the entire technology stack.
Capability to read, understand, and resolve issues residing outside the primary code base.
Experience building and launching highly performant server-side or client-side RAG and agentic applications reaching millions of users.
