Role Overview

AlphaSense is seeking a Senior/Staff Product Designer to join the growing design team and help shape the future of the product experience. In this role, the designer will drive strategic design initiatives, translating complex data-rich problems into intuitive experiences tailored to customer workflows. Working as an individual contributor, the professional will bring clarity to ambiguity, define end-to-end workflows, and ensure platform experiences remain cohesive and scalable. The designer will partner closely with product managers, engineers, and AI teams from early concept through execution, balancing user needs with business goals and technical constraints. Additionally, the role involves acting as a multiplier by mentoring other designers, contributing to design systems, and raising the bar for execution in an AI-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-fidelity prototypes, interaction models, and end-to-end experiences that communicate product vision and drive alignment.
Transform customer insights from interviews, surveys, and usability testing into actionable product direction.
Define and drive design strategy for key initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and user needs.
Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions.
Contribute to the design system, evolve patterns, and shape best practices to elevate design quality across the team.
Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and AI capabilities to continuously improve product experiences.
Collaborate directly with engineering throughout development to advocate for design quality and attention to detail.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in product design with a strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in interaction design and systems thinking.
Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
Deep expertise in designing end-to-end customer workflows and simplifying complex, data-rich problems.
High proficiency in design and prototyping tools with the ability to communicate ideas through flows, systems, and prototypes.
Strong collaboration skills with engineering teams, including working knowledge of modern web technologies.
Active use of AI to augment the design process from research and ideation to prototyping and iteration.
Proven ability to lead complex projects end-to-end, navigate ambiguity, and drive clarity across cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing other designers to raise the bar for craft and execution.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Working knowledge of React or similar modern web frameworks.
Experience in financial services, investment workflows, or data-heavy SaaS products.

Salary and Benefits
