Key Responsibilities
Define and establish the technical direction for iOS and mobile-facing systems to ensure fast, reliable, secure, and scalable user experiences across teams.
Address complex mobile-system challenges through hands-on system design and durable production architecture grounded in deep iOS expertise.
Elevate mobile work practices by shaping automation, observability, rollout strategies, and AI-enabled validation across multiple initiatives.
Establish robust mobile-facing system contracts, boundaries, and ownership expectations to prevent hidden complexity from entering native clients.
Mentor fellow engineers and elevate technical judgment by translating sophisticated mobile system tasks into reusable standards and patterns.
Requirements
Extensive expertise in modern production iOS architecture, proven by setting technical standards beyond a single feature team.
Ability to advocate for mobile platform principles from a strong iOS foundation, paired with enough Android fluency to influence cross-functional architecture choices affecting identity, reliability, and observability.
Practical experience in shaping mobile-platform contracts or backend service boundaries that enhance product quality across native and adjacent surfaces.
Capacity to read, debug, and contribute to backend systems whenever necessary to unblock mobile-facing outcomes.
Experience in developing AI-enabled engineering systems to boost validation, product quality, and delivery confidence across teams.
Exceptional reliability and release-quality judgment across production mobile systems, demonstrating a history of raising standards across multiple projects.
Outstanding product judgment and communication skills to connect technical decisions directly with customer outcomes.
Nice to Have
Background in building Apple-platform product experiences across diverse form factors, including iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, CarPlay, or other native surfaces.
Familiarity with enterprise mobile environments where security, compliance, identity, or device management constraints like MDM and MAM influence architecture.
Experience in shaping mobile design-system foundations and design-to-code workflows to enhance consistency, accessibility, and AI-assisted UI generation.
