Role Overview

ClickHouse is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate products that make the platform suitable for agents and data scientists. The position is located in Australia with remote-friendly work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement AI-powered features across the full stack, covering backend inference services and frontend interfaces within the ClickHouse Cloud platform.
Create scalable APIs connecting database capabilities with AI and machine learning inference systems.
Implement and maintain integrations with the broader AI ecosystem and standards.
Integrate models into production systems with monitoring, versioning, observability, and evaluation.
Participate in the daytime oncall rotation with the team.
Build responsive user interfaces for complex AI functionalities.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience in production environments.
Exposure to working directly with AI and machine learning technologies.
Ability to drive features from concept to production independently.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Strong frontend skills utilizing TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.

Nice to Have

Experience integrating and deploying AI and machine learning models in production, including inference APIs and vector databases.
