Role Overview

The Senior Software Engineer – Backend/Cloud position at Aircall involves building and scaling AI-powered customer communication platforms from the Madrid office. Key Responsibilities

Build, design, code, test, and monitor production code independently and reliably.
Partner with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver end-to-end practical solutions.
Design secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions while taking accountability for execution.
Gain deep business knowledge to deliver meaningful value to users and clients.
Mentor teammates to foster technical growth across the engineering department.
Research and evaluate new technologies and architectures with sound technical judgment.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of background in back-end development.
Experience utilizing TypeScript alongside technologies such as NodeJS, Python, Ruby, or Rails, prioritizing security, performance, scalability, and availability.
Extensive professional background utilizing AWS in a production environment, ideally supporting high-volume and high-availability services.
Strong appreciation for code maintainability, performance, simplicity, and quality.
Ability to architect practical and straightforward solutions for challenges at scale.
Proactive and effective communication skills tailored for collaboration across various roles and profiles.

Nice to Have

Prior experience working on frontend applications, with a strong preference for React.
Familiarity with the broader tech stack including REST and GraphQL APIs, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, Redis, Serverless, and EKS.
