Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer for Agent Systems, the professional joins a zero-to-one engineering group building internal artificial intelligence agents that interface with company platforms. The mandate centers on boosting execution speed via automation, intelligent inference, and workflow orchestration. The position bridges artificial intelligence, backend systems, and applied product engineering, requiring a balance between rapid prototyping and strict production reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Build and launch AI-driven agent systems designed to automate internal decision paths and workflows.
Design and execute inference pipelines capable of reasoning over user interactions across internal platforms.
Create rapid prototypes to test agent behaviors and transition successful models into production-grade systems.
Develop backend services that connect with diverse internal data sources and application programming interfaces.
Establish patterns focused on controllable, observable, and safe agent execution.
Partner cross-functionally to pinpoint high-value automation opportunities.
Enhance reliability, system speed, and signal quality as platform usage scales.
Participate in foundational design decisions for a new agent platform.

Requirements

Bring at least 5 years of professional experience building and shipping production software systems.
Possess strong backend engineering fundamentals covering data modeling, reliability, distributed systems, and application programming interfaces.
Demonstrate experience building full-stack systems with comfort handling backend and occasional frontend tasks.
Offer hands-on experience working with large language models, artificial intelligence or machine learning systems, or inference pipelines in production.
Show the ability to prototype quickly while maintaining a clear pathway to production architecture.
Display strong systems thinking regarding orchestration, observability, and failure modes.
Exhibit comfort working in ambiguous, zero-to-one environments requiring high personal ownership.

Nice to Have

Prior experience building or running autonomous workflows or agent-based systems.
Familiarity with model performance tuning, evaluation frameworks, or prompt engineering.
Experience integrating with enterprise tools like customer relationship management software, support tools, and analytics platforms.
Background developing internal tooling or developer platforms.
Experience creating safety layers, sandboxing, or guardrails for artificial intelligence systems.
