About this role

This role is a Senior AI Engineer position focusing on growth at Kraken, operating remotely within the United Kingdom. It suits an experienced technical builder who wants to create an AI-native growth engine rather than just supporting existing marketing workflows.

Role Overview

Kraken is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join the Growth Foundations Group within the engineering department. Operating as the second builder on this team, the professional will work alongside the lead architect to execute, build, and ship agent orchestrations, automated workflows, and system integrations. The goal is to build an AI-native growth engine where agents make distribution decisions and generate creative content at scale across multiple channels like paid growth, lifecycle, organic search, CRO, and referrals.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement agent orchestration workflows across various growth use cases, automating decisions and executions for paid media, lifecycle messaging, organic content, and conversion optimization.
Build robust integrations between the AI reasoning layer, growth execution platforms, data infrastructure, experimentation systems, and analytics tools.
Develop shared agent infrastructure components, including reusable workflow patterns, prompt libraries, and integration clients.
Establish monitoring and audit logging to ensure every agent action is traceable, versioned, and queryable.
Create and manage content generation pipelines that automate the brief-to-variant-to-distribution loop.
Maintain high integration reliability and document every workflow clearly so domain specialists can tune them independently.

Requirements

Three or more years of professional experience building automation workflows, integrations, or agentic systems utilizing AI orchestration platforms or automation tools.
Strong expertise in API integrations, covering REST, webhooks, authentication patterns, and error handling at scale.
Practical experience working with LLM APIs, including prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool use, and agent chaining.
Ability to work independently from a technical spec without requiring constant supervision.
Familiarity with growth or marketing context to understand the strategic direction of the systems being built.
A balanced approach that values rapid shipping speed alongside high code quality.

Nice to Have

Background working with paid media platforms, marketing automation, CRM, or lifecycle messaging systems.
Familiarity with data warehouse query patterns and event tracking infrastructure.
Previous professional experience in a high-growth fintech, consumer tech, or multi-product technology environment.
Exposure to designing multi-agent architectures or complex agent-to-agent workflows.
