Healthie is hiring a Senior Product Manager for its Revenue Cycle squad to own how healthcare organizations get paid by insurers in NYC. This full-time, hybrid role is ideal for a product leader with deep healthcare billing expertise who wants to build foundational financial infrastructure for modern outpatient care.

Role Overview

Healthie is seeking a founding product manager for its revenue cycle squad in NYC. The goal is to build billing systems that serve care delivery, ensuring every dollar can be explained to practices and patients. Instead of forcing billers to play detective with rejections and claim statuses, this role focuses on creating a calm, clear workday where claims go out clean and payers are managed at scale. The decisions made in the first two quarters of this multi-year charter will remain load-bearing for years to come.

Key Responsibilities

Own how healthcare practices get paid by insurers with the least human effort possible.
Lead the squad responsible for collecting money from insurers at scale, replacing clunky legacy workflows with a calm and clear billing experience.
Prevent claims issues by catching problems before submissions and streamlining processes when payers say no.
Shape foundational, multi-year product architecture from day one as the founding product manager for this squad.
Collaborate closely with third-party billing partners to make healthcare billing as painless as possible at scale.
Leverage modern AI tools and automated development processes to increase engineering velocity and quality.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years in product management, including at least 2 years owning systems with financial or regulatory consequences.
Direct, hands-on experience in healthcare revenue cycle, including the end-to-end claim lifecycle, payer behavior, rejections versus denials, remittance, adjustment data, and patient responsibility.
Proven background as a product manager on billing, claims, or payments products, or experience as a biller, RCM operator, or revenue cycle leader.
Experience owning a roadmap with evidence-based prioritization and strong first-principles systems thinking.
Technical fluency to read API documentation and hold design tradeoff conversations with staff engineers.
AI fluency to utilize modern AI tools and identify agent errors.
Decisiveness and the ability to act on incomplete information while breaking down foundational rewrites into valuable slices.
Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Valid U.S. work authorization.

Nice to Have

Experience working with clearinghouses or building directly to X12 transaction sets such as 837 claims, 835 remittance, or 270 and 271 eligibility.
Depth in behavioral health, nutrition, or other specialties that bill outside the traditional hospital setting.
Familiarity with coordination of benefits, secondary claims, corrections, and appeals.
Background in building revenue cycle products on an API or platform rather than solely inside a single practice.
Depth in adjacent money-moving domains like fintech, insurance, or marketplace payouts alongside healthcare experience.
